Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using URecharge ("we", "us", "the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. The service

URecharge lets you fund a wallet and use that balance to purchase airtime, data bundles, electricity tokens and cable TV subscriptions from third-party networks and billers ("providers"). We act as an intermediary between you and these providers; we do not control network coverage, billing accuracy, or service availability on the provider's side.

3. Eligibility and account registration

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use URecharge. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials and transaction PIN confidential.

4. Wallet funding

You may fund your wallet by card or bank transfer through our payment processor, or by transfer to your dedicated virtual account number. A funding fee may apply and, where it does, will be disclosed before you confirm a deposit. Funds in your wallet do not earn interest and are held solely for the purpose of making purchases on the platform.

5. Purchases, failures and reversals

When you initiate a purchase, the amount is deducted from your wallet before the request is sent to the relevant provider. If a purchase is declined or cannot be confirmed, the amount debited is automatically returned to your wallet. In rare cases where a provider's response is delayed, we may take a short period to confirm the outcome before crediting a refund.

6. Minimum funding amount and fees

We may set a minimum wallet funding amount and a funding fee (flat or percentage-based), both of which are configurable and disclosed at the time of funding. We may change these from time to time; changes apply to funding initiated after the change takes effect.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use URecharge for any unlawful purpose, to defraud us or a third party, to launder funds, or to circumvent any limit or control we've put in place. We may suspend or close an account we reasonably believe is being used in violation of these terms.

8. Know Your Customer (KYC)

We may require identity verification before allowing certain transaction volumes or wallet balances, in line with applicable Nigerian financial regulations. We may limit, suspend or reverse transactions on an account pending verification.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, URecharge is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, including delays or failures caused by a third-party provider, network operator or payment processor outside our control.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of URecharge after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
